Alright, the 1980 motocross bike revolution marked the beginning of the biggest and fastest technology boom in the history of motocross racing.
With Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and Yamaha, seemingly light years ahead of their European and Spanish competitors, this era in motorcycle and motocross history brought on one of the fiercest motor and machine technology battles like never before.
It was a battle that would continue for at least a decade, but with the the years from 1980 -1985 in particular, some of the most brutal.
Picture this: Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yamaha, and Honda — all prime contenders at the time — pitted head-to-head in a race to create the next best thing and take line honours.
