I admit I bought this thing half because of the funny name and half because of it's function! Apparently Blonder Tongue is a well-known company in the audio/video world. This is the first time I'd heard of them so I'm still amused by the name (yes, my sense of humor peaked at age 12).
The BTSA-5 is a TV and FM receiver that covers 47MHz-2300Mhz, and has a built-in spectrum analyzer. It was designed for installing satellite and cable TV back in the days when those signals were analog. Now that most TV signals are digital, this thing isn't quite as useful. It was still fun to mess around with, and I learned a thing or two about old TV systems!
