Ukraine has shattered expectations again with a battlefield tactic straight out of Mad Max. On May 4, Euromaidan Press reported that Ukraine’s new high-speed armored raids helped breach Belgorod, and just days later, on May 6, SBS News confirmed that the same strategy was being used to push back into Kursk. Russia, which has already lost over 963,000 soldiers for just 20% of Ukraine’s territory, is now being forced to defend two fronts—while facing weaponized speed and sacrifice.
This strategy sees Ukraine using Bradley Fighting Vehicles not just for firepower but as one-time battering rams to deliver troops into Russian territory. Rather than relying on the 3-to-1 advantage traditionally needed for offensive war, Ukraine is trading equipment for surprise and agility. With only around 300 Bradleys available, each assault is calculated—but so far, devastatingly effective.
