Today, I’d like to share a special video about a real-life Hobbit house hidden in the forest, just outside a tiny village called Tomich, near Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands. Meet Mr. Stuart Grant, a skilled joiner who originally planned to renovate the old cowshed into a small house—but over the years, he transformed it into a cosy little home, built largely from wood.
I spent the entire day with him — talking, sharing stories, and lending a hand with a bit of his work. Hard to believe he’s now 94 years old.
He was incredibly friendly and welcoming, showing me around his beautiful home and saying how lovely it is to meet new people.
