This time, it wasn’t my NoctOct Bitaxe rig… it was my NerdQAxE++ that landed the block while solo mining on the Fractal Bitcoin network.

This is proof again that solo mining is NOT dead, and it’s not “impossible” the way many people claim. With the right approach and a network with a reasonable difficulty level — hobby miners absolutely still have real chances to hit blocks.
What happened here wasn’t some crazy lottery win. It’s simply probability at work:
• In a lottery, you buy a fixed number of tickets.
• In solo mining, every hash your miner produces is a ticket.
• A NerdQAxE++ generates millions of “tickets” every second.
So the more hashes you generate over time, the more realistic it becomes to eventually solve a block especially on emerging SHA-256 chains like Fractal Bitcoin, where the difficulty is far lower than BTC or BCH.
