This is the continuation of the previous general video about Super Capacitors (video 81). This prepares us for the application as start booster in the car. It required a lot of research and trials. I think we came to a good result with the prototype that is in this video.

CONTEXT
Car batteries are actually not adequate to start a crank motor. They do their job but it is the reason that they age so much. All the other task are much easier for it and they could live much longer if at least the top of the start current would be softened by a booster. This was not available for a reasonable price until now.

Technology is really going on like crazy. But now we must move on and grasp it! Take this heavy weight lifting from the battery and it will live much longer. An aged battery that would be discarded, especially during cold weather, can now go on to give it's service with its new partner, which doesn't store nearly as much energy as the battery, but is really unbeatable in those few seconds of heavy stress.
This video shows the development and good results of a prototype that will now go into the phase of building a system that is good for a RAV4 Diesel 2500 cc.
This video also shows what exactly happens during the first seconds of starting the engine and also thereafter. At least you understand what you are doing if you decide to go into this project.

Most of them are Schottky and have a low forward voltage, ideal for fine tuning the voltage that you want as a reference. However, if the 300 mA of the LED above is to low, you need a few normal rectifier diodes of 0.7 - 0.9 Volt, this box contained only 10 of 60 of these.
