A Shelter Surrounded by Water
Published at : 23 Dec 2025
🌊 In the middle of a flowing river, I built a dome-shaped survival shelter on a narrow stone path surrounded by moving water.
The location is exposed and unforgiving, with the river running right beside the shelter, making stability and placement critical from the first step.
🎋 The shelter is constructed with a bamboo frame, carefully bent and secured into a strong dome structure. The exterior is fully covered with natural reeds, creating insulation, wind resistance, and camouflage that blends naturally into the river environment.
🔥 A small campfire burns beside the shelter, providing warmth and light while the sound of flowing water fills the space. The contrast between fire, stone, and water creates a raw and authentic survival atmosphere.
🪵 This video documents the full bushcraft process — selecting bamboo, shaping the dome frame, layering reeds, and securing the shelter on stone without modern tools or artificial elements. Everything is built using practical survival techniques.
🏕️ Inside the dome shelter, I create a simple living space for resting and staying warm while surrounded by moving water. The focus is on realism, balance, and survival in an unusual river setting.
