A Shelter Hanging in the Air
Published at : 23 Dec 2025
🌲 Deep inside a quiet forest beside a large lake, I built an elevated A-frame survival shelter suspended nearly 5 meters above the ground between two tall, parallel trees.
This height keeps the shelter safe from flooding, ground moisture, and wildlife while offering a peaceful view over the lake.
🪵 The structure is built using bamboo and natural forest wood only, shaped and secured with traditional bushcraft techniques. The A-frame design provides excellent strength and stability, allowing the shelter to remain balanced and secure at height.
🌴 Wild palm leaves are layered around the shelter, forming natural insulation and camouflage that blends perfectly into the forest canopy. From a distance, the shelter is almost invisible.
🔥 This video captures the entire survival process — selecting the trees, lifting materials into position, constructing the A-frame roof, and finishing the shelter for real wilderness living. No modern tools, no metal, only primitive skills and careful planning.
🏕️ Inside the shelter, I create a simple elevated living space for resting, observing the lake, and surviving quietly above the forest floor. The sounds of water, wind, and wildlife make this a calm yet intense survival experience.
🌿 If you enjoy bushcraft, elevated tree shelters, bamboo construction, forest survival, and off-grid living, this build is designed to keep you watching until the end.
