Why We DESTROYED Their Ditch (They'll Thank Us Later)
Published at : 23 Dec 2025
This Cookeville, Tennessee driveway had a drainage disaster. The homeowners originally installed a ditch with a culvert, but over time it filled in and got higher than the road surface. Water was pooling, rutting, and ripping right through the driveway instead of draining properly.
Our solution? Get rid of the ditch completely. Instead of fighting gravity, we worked WITH it—reversing the road pitch to let water flow naturally off the edge and down into the holler. No more cleaning leaves out of riprap. No more maintaining ditch depth. Just gravity doing what gravity does.
