Why I Took On This 100 Kilometre Ride... On a Handbike
Published at : 23 Dec 2025
Has Martyn Ashton bitten off more than he can chew? The Grinduro event is famous for being a gruelling outing through the Scottish Highlands, a mish-mash of gravel roads that extend to the horizon, and rocky, rooty terrain that would suit a mountain bike. Others in the adaptive category chose to do a more reasonable 50km loop. Martyn, however, wants to take on the 100km on his hand-bike. Can he and Rich Payne make it to the finish?
