"Ankling" or ankle angle criticisms are very common to hear and to be honest, it's overemphasized. There is no "correct" ankle angle or pedal stroke. How you pedal is unique to your personal biomechanics and everyone will generate the most power, most efficiently, in slightly their own way.
Although, ankle angle can be a sign of other issues in your fit, but it's not something you should spend too much time obsessing over if you have the rest of your fit dialled in.
