WHAT IS DISCUSSED IN THIS VIDEO
An eye welding flash burn actually has a few names it goes by; arc eye, welder's eye, flash burn, keratitis, uv keratitis, and is actually the same thing as snow blindness. This can actually cause some intense eye pain, that is often delayed pain. It's common for it to wake people up in the middle of the night because of the pain. This is because the uv light can cause cell apoptosis, where the cells will evenutally slough off the cornea, exposing the nerves of cornea. Luckily the cornea can heal very fast, but using preservative free artificial tears, cool compresses can help. It's important to go to your eye doctor to determine of an antibiotic would help, or if an anti-inflammatory drop would be needed.
