What is a Valve?
A valve is a device that is able to control, shut off, direct, or regulate the flow inside a pipeline by obstructing its flow direction, partially or completely, depending on the type of application.
The control valve receives a signal from a controller such as PLC, DCS, PID Controller in order to close or open. These external controller compares the set value given by the user with the process value coming from the field and gives command accordingly.

Control valve positioners.
Control valve positioners translates signals from the control system to send the right pressure to an actuator. In a nutshell, it tells the actuator to move the valve to a certain position based on the input data, allowing remote, digital control of this mechanical device.

Control valve positioner types
These positioners come in different types: pneumatic, electro-pneumatic, and digital.
