Two Icons Reunited | Chris Hoy presented with London 2012 bike

Published at : 23 Dec 2025

Earlier this year, Olympic cycling legend Sir Chris Hoy returned to the National Cycling Centre in Manchester to collect a prized possession: his track bike from the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Thirteen years after Sir Chris' final outing on the machine, the iconic UKSI track bike was painstakingly rebuilt with precision by Ernie Feargrieve BEM, Lead Race Mechanic at the Great Britain Cycling Team.

Listen to Chris and Ernie as they reflect on the Scot's glory days on the track and share some fond memories.
