In this video, I go through the steps of setting up an ADS-B receiver that feeds data from the Raspberry Pi to Flightradar24.
Tutorial:
https://pimylifeup.com/raspberry-pi-flightradar24/By supplying FlightRadar24 data from your ADS-B receiver, you will be upgraded to a business account. This upgrade gives you a range of particularly appealing benefits if you use FlightRadar24.
The ideal range of this setup will be roughly 140-480 km (87-300 miles). However, this range is heavily dependent on the location of the antenna. For example, being outside with a clear view and on top of a mountain will give you the best coverage.
You will need to sign up to FlightRadar24 to complete this tutorial.
For this tutorial, I made use of the Raspberry Pi 5 running the latest version of Raspberry Pi OS (Bookworm). This tutorial should still work on older versions of the operating system and hardware.
