The future of gravel: Ari Shafer with 55mm Schwalbe G-Ones / first look

Huge tire clearance, consumer direct pricing, and middle of the road geometry that works for gravel riding, racing and maybe even a little bike packing... the third generation Ari Shafer with 2.25in of clearance is what I think more and more gravel bikes will look like in the coming months and years.



I’ve done a few rides on this and want to share my initial thoughts on the bike as a whole, and also these tires. Schwalbe G-One RS remain my favorite gravel tires, hands down, for how good they feel on paved and and unpaved roads. But is this 55mm version too much of a good thing?
