Suspended Between Trees, Alone by the Lake
Published at : 23 Dec 2025
🌲 This survival video shows the complete process of building an elevated A-frame shelter between two tall, parallel trees beside a large forest lake.
The shelter is positioned approximately 5 meters above the ground, designed to avoid ground moisture, wildlife, and flooding while maximizing safety and visibility.
🪵 Using only bamboo and natural forest wood, I construct a strong A-frame structure with traditional bushcraft techniques. The frame is carefully balanced between the trees and reinforced to handle weight, wind, and rain. Wild palm leaves are layered around the shelter to create a waterproof, breathable roof and natural camouflage that blends into the forest environment.
🔥 This is a true primitive survival build — no modern tools, no nails, no metal. Every step relies on hand tools, rope bindings, and natural materials found in the forest. From selecting the right trees to lifting bamboo beams and shaping the roof, the entire shelter is built using practical wilderness engineering.
🏕️ Inside the elevated shelter, I create a minimal living space suitable for resting, observing the lake, and surviving quietly above the forest floor. The sounds of water, wind, and wildlife create a calm yet immersive bushcraft atmosphere.
