SEPIC converter is newly invented and most popular step up and step down converter (buck-boost converter). Nowadays instead of using a traditional inverting buck-boost converter manufacturer go for SEPIC converters due to its advantages such as 1- The active switch i.e. the controlled switch is in parallel with the load. So to switch this component becomes easier. 2- Unlike buck-boost converter it gives non-inverting output. 3- Due to the capacitor in parallel, isolation is present between input and output.
