Semi Driver Gets Chewed Out After Flipping His Container! Well if it isn't another rollover, yet again where driver didn't know his weight. Luckily he ended up finding it, and it was almost exactly what I had guess (37,5000lbs vs my 40,000lb estimate). It's always better to assume they are fully loaded and HEAVY!
As shown at the end, I'm not sure what exactly caused the accident especially considering it was early morning rush hour. Drivers take these onramps too fast which can cause a load shift, resulting in what you see here. The Ford pickup driver was thankfully unharmed, but the truck was pretty badly damaged in the rear.
My first goal was to get some gap from the wall since it was practically touching and prevented me from properly rigging. From there, I was able to lift up enough to bring it towards me to straighten it out then hold it to allow cribbing underneath. From here, it was just a matter of attaching our slings and doing what we do best.
Of course, it would be too easy if it stopped there. Once upright, the container wanted to go back over due to a horrible load shift. Happens day in and day out, 247. Driver picked it up already sealed, so who is really to blame? In this case, the rotators were easily able to do a quick load correction so we can tow it back to my base.
