Did you know there are 3 Edge Panel settings that’ll instantly upgrade your multitasking game?
First, you can run more favorite apps at once without scrolling. This essentially makes the Edge Panel wider, giving your productivity a solid boost.
Next, enable scrolling in the Recent Apps section to view more of your recent apps—another quick win for multitasking!
And third, you can choose how apps from the Edge Panel open when tapped. The default is Full Screen View, but I switched mine to Popup View—that’s my favorite.
In this short, we’ll show you how to set up all three settings in under 2 minutes!
First, swipe out your Edge Panel to display it.
Look for the pencil icon in the bottom right corner and tap it.
An apps page will open. Now, tap the three dots in the top right corner.
This brings up a pop-up menu. Scroll to the bottom and tap “More Customizations.”
The page refreshes and you’ll see all the settings we mentioned:
• Run More Favorite Items at Once
• Scroll Through the Recent Apps Section to See More Recent Apps
• Open Apps in Screen Using the Selected View Type
Turn the first two settings on, and choose the view type that works best for you in the third.
Again, I prefer Popup View—I also didn't notice a difference between Full Screen View and Split Screen View. Perhaps it's not working at the moment? Let us know your experience in the comments below!
Bonus tip: If you scroll down a bit further, you can enable the Edge Handle even in Immersive Mode. Just tap the slider and turn it blue!
