Starry Blooms Flowers Bouquet Building Set for Adults, Artificial Flower Compatible with Lego Botanical Collection, Gift for Christmas Thanksgiving Mother's Valentine's Day, Home Office Decor
Brand: EWED
This block building flower set produces a very nice bouquet of blue/yellow colored flowers. (You must provide your own vase for them). The pieces were well made and fit together very nicely (with one exception). The instructions were colorful and looked very professional. It's rated 18+, mostly due to the length, I feel that a single bag of flowers (other than bag #5) could be put together without major problems by a 13 year old.
I had only three minor complaints about this kit:
1. There are few places where the instructions are confusing, in that they show a small piece without enough detail to fully determine the (required) orientation. Because each flower is a relatively small number of pieces its not difficult to take one apart and flip things around the make it work, but leads to some frustration. There are also a few places where they present pieces before or after you need to install them. If you pay attention and read one step ahead, you can figure things out, but it's not as clear as it could be.
2. The last bag had a very nice flower made up of small green pieces and small yellow flowers that had a small peg to hold them on. This mostly worked when assembling individual flower pieces, but when you stacked them they were too tight, and the flowers on the bottom would put pressure on the ones above and pop them off the thin green stem. I was NOT able to assemble this flower until I used superglue to attach the yellow flowers to the green stems so they wouldn't pop/fall off. After that, assembly was easy, but a "brick building kit" really shouldn't require adhesive. The flowers looked awesome once done however.
3. There was one place where the instructions were wrong, telling you to attach a blue flower to a place that was too large for the peg to fit. It simply wouldn't work there, and there was no missing piece to make it work. I just stuck it in a slightly different location, which messed with the balance a little, but mostly worked. [This, along with point 1 & 2 make me think that the kit was not fully play tested.]
However, the price point was right, the final result looks great, and I wouldn't let the above three problems keep you from buying the kit to assemble.
