Rainy Sierra Camp on Upper Buttermilk Trail | Tacoma Overland Adventure

I took my Toyota Tacoma overland build back into the Eastern Sierra for another unforgettable adventure — this time exploring the rugged Upper Buttermilk trail just outside Bishop, CA. I led the way through the granite landscape, carving up rocky climbs and winding forest roads until my buddy Charly and I found the perfect secluded camp spot tucked beside a beautiful flowing creek.
We settled into camp under a calm, rainy sky. We spent the afternoon collecting and chopping firewood, building a warm fire, and soaking in the peaceful mountain atmosphere. I cooked up a steak dinner over the TEMBOTUSK Skottle, enjoying the sound of the rain and the creek running beside camp.
The next morning, the clouds lifted just enough for a warm cup of coffee, sausage, and eggs cooked on the Skottle as the sun slowly pushed through.
This trip was simple, quiet, and exactly what we needed — good friends, good food, a flowing creek, and the peaceful Eastern Sierra wilderness to reset and clear the mind.
