Parkside Charger TC147 Mod – Live Battery Stats While Charging

Published at : 23 Dec 2025

Turn a basic Parkside charger into a real smart charger with live battery stats. 🔋
In this video I install a TC147 coulometer inside a Parkside X20V charger so you can see voltage, current, power and capacity while your batteries charge.

If you’re into Parkside mods, DIY battery packs, or just want to know what’s actually happening during charging, this upgrade is a really fun (and cheap) project.

If you try this, remember: you’re working with mains-powered equipment. Take your time, double-check your wiring, and only do this if you’re comfortable with basic electronics and safety.

Let me know in the comments if you’d like to see:

• A version of this mod on a different charger brand

• Logging / data capture from the TC147

• More Parkside battery and charger upgrades

Thanks for watching – and enjoy your “new” smart charger!

Tools & parts used:

• Parkside X20V charger

• TC147 coulometer / energy meter

• Soldering iron + solder

• Wire cutters / strippers

• Drill / rotary tool for the display cutout

• Heatshrink / insulation
