Our Dutch road trip in a Renault Scenic packed with people: Windmills, tulips & EV reality check

We took the electric Renault Scenic E-tech on a full family road trip from the UK to the Netherlands — with five people on board, a fully loaded boot, and high expectations. The original Scenic was famous for its three full-size rear seats, so how does this new SUV-style Scenic compare when you actually fill it with real humans and luggage?

From windmills and tulips to Amsterdam, Keukenhof and lakeside Loosdrecht, we spent a week testing how practical, comfortable and efficient the Scenic really is as a modern family EV.

Since we filmed this, the Scenic is now quite a lot cheaper. The "Iconic" we tested here was £46,745 (with the metallic paint) but the new MY26 Scenic "Iconic Esprit" is now £40,495 (metallic paint no longer costs extra). The Scenic range now starts at £35,495.
