The 2026 MXA 450 Shootout ranks all nine of the major 450 four-stroke dirt bikes in the order in which we'd recommend them to anyone asking the question. Motorcycles are not cheap, and for that reason, you should know the pros and cons of each bike before you make a purchase. The MXA wrecking crew rides, races, and tests bikes year-round. While each rider has their favorite bike, this video represents the accumulated opinion of the Motocross Action test riders.
For 2026, the Yamaha YZ450F is an all-new machine, while Triumph and Beta are both joining MXA's 450 Shootout for the first time, and they've both seen updates in the last year as well. GasGas came in under the radar, but it also has notable differences that set it apart from the KTM and Husqvarna 450s, as it's now significantly quieter, measuring 109 decibels, compared to its siblings at 112.
