Man Alone Builds a Heavy-Duty Shelter in Bear Land

Published at : 23 Dec 2025

Deep in the mountains, I spent days building my strongest bushcraft log shelter yet — from the first layer of massive logs to a full two-story cabin. 🌲🐻

Along the way, I faced wild boars during the day, a bear at night, heavy rainstorms, and even went fishing for pike in a mountain lake. Every challenge made the build harder — but also more real.

The roof took me the most time and effort. First, I created an unusual geometry that I really like visually. Then I covered it tightly with logs 10–12 cm thick, sealed every gap with clay, added moss for insulation, and finally made wooden shingles by burning and splitting logs almost half a meter wide. It looks strong, but only time will tell if it will stand against storms and snow — and I promise to show you the results in my next videos.
