Low to the Ground | Lost in the Forest
Published at : 23 Dec 2025
🌲 Beside a large, quiet forest lake, I built a low-elevation A-frame survival shelter positioned about 1 meter above the ground between two tall, parallel trees.
This design keeps the shelter dry and protected while remaining easily accessible and naturally hidden.
🪵 The structure is built mainly from bamboo and natural forest wood, carefully shaped and secured using traditional bushcraft techniques. The A-frame roof provides strength and stability, while layers of wild palm leaves fully cover the shelter, creating natural insulation and camouflage that blends seamlessly into the forest.
🔥 This video shows the complete survival build process — choosing the right trees, crafting the bamboo frame, lifting and securing the structure, and finishing the shelter with palm leaves for weather protection. No modern tools or metal are used.
🏕️ Inside the shelter, I create a simple living space for resting, observing the lake, and surviving quietly in nature. The calm water, forest sounds, and low-profile design make this shelter both practical and peaceful.
🌿 If you enjoy bushcraft, bamboo shelters, forest survival, and realistic off-grid living, this build is perfect for you.
