When a customer wants a root rake on their John Deere 450G dozer, you know it’s going to take more than a bolt-on job. In this video, we’re fabricating and fitting a brand-new rake setup — and we’ve got some help in the shop today from @LetsDig18 himself!
Watch as we:
-Measure, weld, and modify the mounts to get the rake lined up
-Burn in with .045 dual shield wire and test clearances
-Work out the hinge geometry so the rake can still fold up for back-dragging
-Get it painted, buttoned up, and ready for the customer
