Embark on a thrilling 13-day solo canoe expedition through the remote and unforgiving Wabakimi Wilderness in Canada. This adventure tested my limits with brutal portages, rough terrain, and the relentless assault of black flies and mosquitoes. From encountering a bear on day one to enduring multiple intense thunderstorms—one of which nearly wiped out my camp—this journey was as tough as it was breathtaking. I battled fierce headwinds, navigated swampy portages, and faced the challenges of setting up camp in difficult conditions. Despite the hardships, I was rewarded with incredible wildlife sightings, delicious meals cooked over the fire, and the serenity of this untouched wilderness. Join me as I push through the challenges and discover the raw beauty of Wabakimi.
