What’s wrong with me? I lived in -17°C, without any gear — just fire — surrounded by deep snow and a frozen forest.
I spend a ton of money on sleeping bags, insulated mats, and warm tents — and then I go out into the snow and sleep without any of them!
Yeah, I hiked a few miles into the forest — no tent, no sleeping bag.
I built three winter shelters with a tarp, one under a fallen tree and one beside a big rock, to show what kind of shelter can actually keep you from freezing to death.
This is a true story of three days of winter survival in one of the coldest places on earth — where off-grid life, winter camping, and survival in the cold push you to the absolute limit.
