How to Build a School PC – Parents Guide (They’ll Hate It) | 9950X3D + RTX 5080 + HYTE Y70 + X870E

They said, “You just need a simple computer for school.”
I heard, “Build a HYTE Y70 Touch gaming monster with RTX 5080 and Ryzen 9 9950X3D!”

Welcome to the most over-the-top, absolutely unnecessary, totally awesome PC build for school — or should we say... "for school" 😎.

We’re building the gaming PC every kid dreams of and every parent says absolutely not to. This “homework helper” features the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D — for lightning-fast math homework… and 1000 FPS in games you’re not supposed to be playing. Alongside it, we’ve installed the GigaByte GeForce RTX 5080 AORUS Master, because Google Docs clearly needs ray tracing.

Holding it all together is the GigaByte X870E Aorus Pro motherboard, paired with 64GB of Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5-6000 CL30 memory — because four Chrome tabs just don’t cut it these days. For storage, we’ve got a blazing-fast Crucial T705 1TB PCIe Gen5 SSD and two Kingston Fury Renegade M.2 1TB drives for all those “school projects.”

Cooling this beast is the sleek Lian Li Hydroshift 360TL AIO, surrounded by a high-performance airflow system made up of Lian Li UNI FANS TL Wireless — because a Hyte Y70 Touch Infinite case deserves nothing less than peak style and function.

Powering it all is the Lian Li Edge Gold 1000W power supply, connected with Lian Li Strimer Wireless 24P and EZDIY-FAB PSU Cable Extension Kit — for cable management that looks almost too good to be hidden.

And yes — my son helped me with this one. A true family bonding experience over a pc build that could launch a space mission.
