Today we’re running the long-awaited FluxJet speed trials.
We’ve been holding off until the kayak was close to its final form so these numbers actually mean something. This test compares:
12V test pass
24V off-the-shelf brushless outboard
FluxJet jet drive at 24V
We’re using GPS data from a Garmin mounted on a YakAttack LockNLoad base so you can see real numbers on speed and performance.
This video includes:
• Full-throttle passes in protected water
• Speed readings at each voltage setup
• Real-time wattage draw comparison
• Efficiency differences between outboard prop and jet drive
• Maneuverability demo — including turns prop motors simply can’t make
• Shallow-water access where outboards can’t go
We’re still finishing firmware tuning and some surface-finish adjustments on production boats, so there’s room to squeeze out even more performance. But this test gives a solid look at what you can realistically expect from the FluxJet at different power setups.
