Extreme Winter Survival: 3 Days Alone at -19°C Without Gear — Blizzard, Fire, Survival

One of my toughest and most challenging winter camps began deep in a frozen, wild forest — no tent, no sleeping bag, no gloves; only survival skills and willpower.

Day one started with heavy snowfall. I trekked through deep snow until I reached a remote area where ancient yew trees, remnants of the Ice Age, still stand. Beside a fallen tree, I built a simple shelter with wood and tarp, and after much effort, managed to start a fire. To stay warm, I grilled wild turkey as the snow kept falling.

On day two, I climbed higher into the mountains. Next to a frozen stream and snowy cliffs, I set up camp and used oak bark to light a fire. A warm bowl of soup was my only comfort through the freezing night.

By day three, I built a wooden shelter inside a broken tree, insulated it with snow and branches, made a small table, and spent the night there — no modern gear, just bushcraft, experience, and fire.

During this journey I learned:
How to start a fire in a snowstorm.
How to survive -15 to -20°C temperatures.
How to find water, gather dry wood, cook food, and stay warm in the wild.
