This new electric motor from the German start-up DeepDrive sounds really impressive! It is said to be more efficient and powerful than comparable motors, can save up to 150 kg in vehicle weight and increase the range of electric cars by over 20%. At the same time, the motor is supposed to be cheaper and work without rare earths. And the craziest thing is: it can also be used as a wheel hub motor, meaning it sits directly in the wheel, which has even more advantages.
