Can You Make a Topography Map Out of Wood?

I’ve never made a topography map before… and this Christmas, I decided to try one for the first time.

In this video, I design and build a handmade North Carolina topography map out of wood. From planning and cutting to layering and final details, this project pushed my skills and tested whether this idea would actually work.

This was meant to be a cozy Christmas build, but it quickly turned into a learning experience I won’t forget. If you enjoy woodworking, map making, or thoughtful handmade projects, I think you’ll enjoy this one.
