Building A Supersonic Two-Stage Rocket | 60,000ft/18km Attempt

Published at : 23 Dec 2025

In this video, I show the process of building the sustainer for a joint project between myself and Taylor from @the_rocketchannel . The rocket is a two-stage minimum diameter all-fiberglass and carbon fiber build with an Aerotech M2050X in the booster and an Aerotech K375 in the sustainer. Our simulations were showing approximately 60,000 feet of altitude, or around 18 kilometers. In addition, max velocity simmed to over Mach 1.6 or around 550 meters per second.

Without a doubt, this was one of the more complicated projects we've ever worked on !
