Beelink ME mini and Zima OS - HOMELAB | NAS | SERVER
Published at : 23 Dec 2025
Building a homelab or NAS doesn’t have to cost a fortune 💸.
I set up a compact Beelink Mini PC running Zima OS —
an Arch-based operating system made for NAS, homelabs, and personal clouds.
In this video, I walk through the entire process step by step:
Choosing the Beelink Mini as a low-cost alternative
Installing a Samsung 990 Pro + Orico 2TB NVMe drives
Setting up Zima OS and logging in with the Zima client
Creating a RAID 5 storage pool WITH ORICO NVMEs
Installing Plex Media Server for streaming
Fixing a “disk missing” error with a Zima OS update
The result? A low-power, affordable, and scalable media server that works as my own personal cloud — accessible from anywhere, and tucked neatly out of sight at home.
