What started as a forgotten tool becomes a custom bearded axe with a full reshaped profile, a deep blued steel finish, and a hand-crafted burnt wood handle that brings the whole piece together.
This is a complete, start-to-finish rebuild. I walk through every stage — stripping years of rust, regrinding the bit, reshaping the head into a true bearded axe form, polishing the cheeks, bluing the steel for a durable finish, and finishing it off with a burnt handle that feels as good as it looks.
