Attacking American Locks... Just How Does the Wafer Breaker Tool Work?

I have never really been satisfied with any of the guides or instructions I've ever seen which discuss using the Peterson Tools "Wafer Breaker" kit against an American Lock product that has a blocking shield installed at the rear of the plug.
