Assembling an open source DRO for the Kearney & Trecker 2HL

I've wanted to put a DRO on the K&T, but almost as much, I want to have the ability to cut helical gears, or to cut gears in any tooth combination, and make it easy to do so. Finding a low lead attachment for the 2HL will be nearly impossible. But I thought of an idea of how I could simulate it without all of the complexities involved in using the actual lead attachment. And this video is the beginning of that journey.
