Alone on an Abandoned Arctic Island — A Stone Shelter Saved My Life (ASMR)
Published at : 23 Dec 2025
Summer beyond the Arctic Circle: polar day with five-hour sunsets, fog, wind, and a cold sea (~+5 °C / 41 °F).
While exploring a deserted island, I found an ancient wooden shipwreck washed ashore and, nearby, a small stone fort/bunker from long ago.
Inside it was filled with boards and rocks. I cleared everything, built a bed and table from the driftwood, boarded the windows with wood and old glass, installed a portable stove, and lit a fire. The room dried out and became warm and safe.
I washed in the sea, watched the endless sunset… then heard a helicopter. I ran outside and called for help, but it flew past.
Alone again, I made a strong door to keep wildlife out and spent the night in this restored shelter.
This place saved my life.
No talking — ASMR nature, wind, waves and fire.
