We had a plan: finish all of our Christmas shopping in one day.
Reality had other ideas.

What was supposed to be a single-day trip turned into two full days of Christmas shopping, all during the shortest days of the year in Alaska. Limited daylight, winter roads, bulk stops, gift runs—and learning (again) that Alaska winter rarely sticks to the plan.

This is real life on the homestead during the holidays: adjusting, improvising, and making it work when the sun barely shows up.
