In this video I show how I connected my Aico smoke alarms to Home Assistant using the Aico Panel Interface Module.
This means that Home Assistant knowns when the fire alarm has been triggered, and I can even trigger the fire alarms directly!
My solution is fully local, so there is no cloud component involved.
My smoke alarms are connected to my Kitchen's heat alarm wirelessly, using an Aico SmartLink Module. I was able to pair the Panel Interface Module with these two alarms.
Once I added the Interface Module to the existing SmartLink devices, I use a Shelly i4DC to monitor the relays and send the details to Home Assistant.
I then add a Shelly 1 to the mix as a way to trigger the fire alarm.
