A Bad Water Pump Stops the Salvage Pond in it's Tracks! ~ Can Alester HANDLE this? ~ Cat D3 Part 11

Problems with old equipment is a guarantee, and we are proving that on this project! The old Cat Dozer is showing us all it's issues!

The newest issue is the water pump finally failing on me! Let's see if I can get it going with parts I have laying around!

We did make some headway on the Salvage Pond with the old Gehl Skid Steer we rescued awhile back. We dug through the old dam and started cleaning out the area where we will be building the new one!

This is Part 3 of the Salvage Pond Build and Part 11 of the Caterpillar D3 LGP dozer named "Alester' repair series.

This is my 1970's Caterpillar D3 LGP Bulldozer named "Alester"... It has a 6 way blade, wide tracks, and is powered by a Caterpillar 3204 diesel engine. The machine is in fairly good shape considering it's lack of care over the last decade and a half, but it does have some major issues that we're working through one step at a time!
