Over five years, through cyclones, setbacks, and a pandemic, we slowly built our home on a tiny remote island in the Solomon Islands. This is the timelapse story of how we turned a patch of jungle above the reef into a sustainable, off-grid haven for our young family.
From clearing the land and pouring concrete foundations… to raising timber beams, installing giant glass windows, and moving in with a newborn — every step was done with limited tools, a small local team, and no access to the mainland. This house was built with our own hands, deep intention, and a whole lot of love.

📍 Where are we?
We live on Uepi Island, a remote island in the Marovo Lagoon of the Solomon Islands, where we’ve been living off-grid and running a small eco dive resort for the past 10 years.
